E-commerce Academy at Seminole High School

The E-commerce Academy at Seminole High School provides students with hands-on experience and valuable skills in the growing field of online business. This student-led academy allows participants to gain real-world experience while learning the ins and outs of running an e-commerce business.

What students will do:

• Manage the School's E-commerce Store: Students actively manage and operate the school's online store powered by Shopify.
• Build E-commerce Websites: Learn how to design and create a functional e-commerce website from the ground up.
• Learn Sales & Marketing: Understanding the basics of selling products online and developing effective marketing strategies.
• Social Media Marketing: Gain skills in promoting an e-commerce store using social media platforms.
• Digital Design: Learn to design visually appealing and user-friendly digital content for e-commerce stores.

Program Highlights:

• Experienced Instructors: Work alongside teachers with over 20 plus years of real-world e-commerce experience in their own businesses. Facilitated by Dan Kennedy, Shaun Rhames and Mitchell Patti, both of whom have thrived in corporate America and bring a wealth of knowledge to the classroom.
• Community & Charitable Involvement: Engage in various community service projects and charitable events, earning valuable volunteer hours.
• Entrepreneurship Focus: Develop an entrepreneurial mindset by learning about small business management and entrepreneurship.
• Industry Certification: Earn an Entrepreneurship and Small Business Industry Certification, along with free college credit.

The E-commerce Academy offers students the tools and resources needed to succeed in both the digital business world and as future entrepreneurs. With guidance from experienced professionals, students will be well-prepared for career success and leadership in the e-commerce industry.
