Principal - Dr. Alana Brown

Principal Brown

Dr. Alana Brown began her career in education in 2006 as a Special Education Teacher at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida. In 2007, she joined Hillsborough County Public Schools, where she served in a variety of instructional and leadership roles. Prior to her current role at Seminole High School, Dr. Brown taught English at Alonso High School, served as an ESE Specialist at both North Tampa EPIC and Brandon EPIC, worked as a District Staffing Specialist, and gained valuable leadership experience as an Assistant Principal at the middle school level.

A proud Gainesville native, Dr. Brown is a graduate of P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Communication Disorders from Florida State University, a Master of Science in Psychology from Walden University, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.

Dr. Brown is deeply committed to closing the academic achievement gap and advancing equitable outcomes for all students. She is passionate about fostering a supportive, student-centered environment grounded in high expectations, strong instructional practices, and meaningful relationships.

 


 

Assistant Principal - Amanda Madej

Ms. Madej holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University, a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. A dedicated member of Pinellas County Schools since 2013, Ms. Madej most recently served as a school counselor at Palm Harbor University High School. Ms. Madej looks forward to collaborating with staff and students to promote academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and a positive school culture on this new journey as assistant principal. 

 

Assistant Principal - Lisa Sinatra

AP Sinatra

Mrs. Sinatra has been a dedicated member of Pinellas County Schools since 1995. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and her Master’s from the University of South Florida. Prior to joining Seminole High School, Mrs. Sinatra served as an administrator at Dixie Hollins High School for 10 years. Her career also includes experience as an ESE Specialist and teaching at Osceola Middle School.

Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Sinatra is married and has three children and two wonderful grandchildren. She is excited to be joining the Warhawk family and looks forward to contributing to the continued success of the school community.

Assistant Principal - Justin Bending

Mr. Bending holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from USF St. Petersburg. He has been a valued member of Pinellas County Schools since 2012, serving both as a science teacher and a 9-12 Science Instructional Staff Developer. With a passion for education and a wealth of experience in the science field, Mr. Bending is excited to take on his new role in administration as part of the Seminole High Warhawk family.
